Winter NAMM 2012
The 2012 Winter NAMM Show marked not only the incredible 110th anniversary, but also a new record attendance. 2012 broke the previous attendance record by 6% putting this years number at 95,709. In addition to the record number of visitors, NAMM reported that of the 1,441 exhibiting companies-236 of which were first time exhibitors. Not only were the numbers of attendees impressive, but the general excitement and energy made this show feel incredible! Visitors to booth 3540 shared that energy and were able to view our entire line of vibratos and check out a variety of vibrato equipped guitars.
Our 2012 display elevated our booth to a whole new level. The booth was adorned with new custom built vintage style vibrato displays (like the ones P.A. made all those years ago) and two racks of guitars. The featured guitars were from 13 different manufacturers showcasing the wide array of makes and models that sport Bigsby vibratos. Time and time again people could be heard saying how surprised they were at the huge variety of guitars with Bigsby tailpieces. But don’t think that the 13 manufacturers featured in the booth were all for the show; more than two dozen other manufactures displayed models too! Be sure to check out the 30 Fender Custom Shop Telecasters in the link below.
Just one of the many highlights of the show was the visit from virtuoso guitarist Paul Pigat. Paul stopped by to visit with Fred and Dinah Gretsch and to pick up a Bigsby prototype guitar. What an incredible player he is; you can check out his music and learn more about him at www.paulpigat.com
A great show to be sure! We are already looking to 2013-see you then! Be sure to check out more photos from the show HERE.
