Summer NAMM 2011 wrap up
A city known for it musical heritage added a new chapter this July 21-23. Nashville, TN once again played host to the Summer NAMM Show. Generally a trade-only show, 2011 was the second year that included a ‘Wanna Play Music’ day which was open to the public. Saturday, being the public day, saw an influx of 1100+ excited new faces on the show floor! Overall, the show was attended by 10,898 registrants. A success on all accounts!
The Bigsby booth was a hopping place featuring a display of all of our vibratos, handles, books, and guitars equipped with appropriate vibratos. Also present in the booth and a special treat, was 6th generation Gretsch family member Will. Will was on hand to greet visitors and to answer all things Bigsby; a great addition to the team!
One way that the Bigsby Company participated in the public day by offering a contest which offered visitors the chance to pick up a FREE Bigsby fitted ball cap ($20 value)! Entrants had to answer a trivia question concerning which motorcycle company founder P.A. Bigsby worked for in order to win. For your information, the answer is Crocker Motorcycles. Thanks to all who stopped by and took part in Summer NAMM 2011! It was a great show and we’re looking forward to 2012!
