B700 on Casino
on: March 21, 2011, 03:57

Hi — I have just received my B700 which I am attempting to install on an Epiphone Casino. While attempting to align it, I notice that the front mounting hole (on the right of the mechanism closest to the bridge) sits slightly away from the instrument, roughly to the depth of the felt washers. Is that right, or have I chosen an incorrect model? Thanks in advance for your help.

Greetings,

Assuming that the thickness of the top of your Casino can handle drilling into it, the B700 will work great. As you mention, if you get the B700 laying as flat as possible on the top, the front screw mount will be raised off the guitar's top slightly. I recommend raising the hinge (bottom) portion up so that the front screw is flat. The length of the B700 body is designed to be able to accommodate different arch radius and thus will be raised off the top of the guitar. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Many thanks. Will see how the button adjustment goes. The gap seems to be the difference between the felt under the spring recess and the bottom of the B700 plate. Appreciate your response.
