Eddie Cochran – pioneering rockabilly rebel, he epitomizes all that is rock and roll. Although his career was tragically cut short when he was only 21, his music is alive as his influence continues to grow. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Unlike many artists of the time, he wrote his own songs including: Summer Blues, C’mon Everybody, and Somethin’ Else – all of which have been covered by numerous bands since his death in 1960.
Cochran is closely associated with his main guitar – a 1956 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Western model, seen here in the above photo. It’s no coincidence that the Gretsch 6120 is the guitar of choice for all rockabilly kindred – of which Brian Setzer is leader of the pack.
All come standard with the Bigsby B6.
